DOG LODGING

WHAT WE DO

JacksonMiss Barks A Lot welcomes socialized dogs – big or small, old or young, outgoing or shy, well or with special needs.  You may make reservations to bring one dog or as many as five. Malone You may be away for one night or 100 nights.  At one inclusive nightly rate, your pet has a full menu of services:  communal lodging in my comfortable home, leisurely walks, medication management, regular feeding, special diets, tummy rubs or treats.  We customize your dog’s experience to match the loving care you would give your pet in your own home, right down to friendly hugs or massages.

EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE

In contrast to a kennel, Miss Barks A Lot provides our VIP boarders with unique benefits.

Mocha

RESERVATIONS

BuckMiss Barks A Lot requests guest reservations to be made at least one week in advance.  If we can take your dog upon shorter notice, we will!  Call or email us with details about your dog’s stay and anything else you want us to know.  If you are a first-time guest, click here for information about our initial consultation and what to bring.  Sorry, we do not offer private suites at this time.

Sophia & Bella

Because we are a unique, full-service boutique lodge with only five beds, we cannot always guarantee availability.  However, we strive to accommodate your every need and be flexible to your schedule.  Remember, we offer Pet Sitting in your home, too.

Check-in and check-out times are what you mutually agree with Sue Ellen when making your reservation.  We ask for advance notice of any changes by phone.

FIRST TIME GUESTS & WHAT TO BRING

Stormie Sue Ellen likes to meet her first-time guests and their families in person prior to travel.  This brief tour and meeting assure an excellent stay for your dog, give you peace of mind and address potential safety and compatibility issues.

We review your dog’s routines, likes and “pet peeves”; your specific requests; and your questions.  We also confirm dates, exchange phone numbers and obtain a signed form from you regarding important veterinary information.  We request proof that shots and vaccinations for your dog are up to date.

We always have your dog’s well-being in mind.  Our licensing restrictions and guidelines call for us to only receive dogs that are non-aggressive, non-destructive, non-chronic barkers and potty-trained.  Sue Ellen retains full discretion to decide which dogs meet the legal, safety and other guidelines for lodging in her home.

It’s simple for your dog to lodge with us. Phoebe Just bring your pet, collar and ID tag along with your dog’s usual food.  We do the rest once you entrust your best friend into our tender, loving care!

At Miss Barks A Lot we have treats, toys, doggie videos, leashes, bowls, comfy beds and house food if we run out of your kibble.  We encourage you to fetch your pet’s favorite toys, treats, blanket, clothes with your scent; or anything that will make your dog’s stay more comfortable.  It’s up to you!

Roxy Let Miss Barks A Lot be your dog’s home away from home.  We like to think that we are heads and tails above the rest.  But don’t take our word for it!  Evaluate us by using the checklist from Pet Sitters International.  Or see why our guests are smiling by browsing our “ruff”rences.
